Artist’s Statement

Maggie's art is one of a kind treasures of flowers she has grown, pressed and dried, and combined onto recycled furniture and trays. Every piece is absolutely unique. The objects she finds she may refinish, paint, or leave as she found them. She will often combine other material such as japanese rice papers, leaves, tiles or glass. All her work is coated with multiple layers of resin which not only preserve the flowers, but is a wonderful durable surface that is water and heat resistant.
