Artist’s Statement Most of my painting is done on location. I find wild areas to be the most interesting and stimulation. I try to paint quickly and spontaneously in response to the natural structures and to the aliveness and dynamism that is so strongly present in nature. In recent months I’ve done a series of watercolors of the Mississippi bluffs in and around St. Paul. It is a beautiful world of layered, split, and spilled rock; all evidence of primal forces. I try to let all this sense of change and aliveness ignite my imagination and my freedom to interpret the scene at hand. Earth, air, water, fire.......dirt, rocks, wind, and rain; sleet, snow, clouds, and sunlight........elements of beauty and change Price Range $200-$400
